Describing a life in a few lines is never easy, especially one rich in different cultural experiences. 

I started off wanting to work in cinema and was lucky enough to be assistant to Nanni Moretti in Ecce Bombo; but destiny decided otherwise.

I've always been a passionate photographer, I started in 1974 with a first experience covering the first edition of the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte (International Arts Festival) under Hans Werner Henze, the first artistic director. I cut my teeth in the darkroom with hours spent developing negatives and printing them.

In 1979 I was one of the original founders of Editori del Grifo, a unique, carefree and courageous publishing experience. I knew and worked with many high-caliber artists including Hugo Pratt, Guido Crepax, Andrea Pazienza, Milo Manara, Moebius and Federico Fellini and with other skilled designers.

As publishers we specialized in communications for environmental organizations, such as Legambiente and Greenpeace and then extended our activities to the whole non-profit sector. We had a long and rich collaboration with Telethon.

I then directed another publishing company, l'Editrice le Balze, before leaving to develop my experience in the non-profit sector with organizations like AIRC, Save the Children and, especially with ten years at the FAI (Italian Environmental Fund).

Often, later in life, we return to our first love, so now I dedicate myself anew to photography, my favorite subjects are the landscapes of the Val di Chiana and the Val d'Orcia but I enjoy exploring all areas of my art.
